Your health and safety are top of mind as we welcome patients back into our clinic. We have implemented measures outlined by the Provincial Health Office of BC, WorkSafeBC, and the BC College of Physical Therapists to protect all who enter our space and ourselves during this time.
We have implemented some necessary changes to the clinic space to promote and ensure physical distancing, and are monitoring the scheduling of clients so as to limit the number of people in the clinic at one time. There are also actions that clients are expected to take, so please read the following. A safe and healthy environment requires all of our cooperation.
It is essential that we know the status of your health as we will be working in close proximity, so you’ll receive an online form to be completed before your visit. The form is mandatory to inform us if we can proceed with the visit.
Every therapist will complete the Covid 19 self-assessment screening before the start of each shift. You will be notified by the therapist and your appointment postponed if any concerns are raised from the screening.
Please arrive for your appointment no more than 5 minutes early to reduce the number of individuals in the waiting room at one time. Seating has been reconfigured so as to ensure physical distancing. We encourage you to not bring others into the clinic with you if possible, and to have your driver or accompanying family member wait in the car until you are finished.
Please also do not bring any unnecessary items with you, such as large backpacks or purses, to minimize exposure and contact.
Therapists will be wearing masks at all times for your protection. Please consider wearing your own snug fitting cloth mask, or equivalent, while in the clinic. A disposable one can be provided if you have forgotten yours.
We are restricting the use of clinic wear, such as gowns and shorts, so please remember to dress appropriately for your visit to ensure a valuable and positive experience. That is, please bring shorts with you if your condition involves the lower extremities, and women, please consider wearing a regular bra, and camisole for modesty if you wish. Razor back sports bras and tights are discouraged. This allows for a smooth flow of treatment as the therapist can access the affected body parts much easier and treat more efficiently.
Sessions will end 5 minutes early to provide time for sanitizing treatment tables, equipment, and hard surfaces, and hand washing.
